The sunset concert at the Baradello, which has always been a much appreciated event for our audience, is back.
Given last year’s success, those who wish can take part in the walk organised by Slow Lake Como in collaboration with the Theatre.
A walk from Castle to Castle. It starts at Teatro Sociale, where the Round Tower Castle once stood, and ends at the Baradello Castle with a sunset concert. Thanks to Slow Lake Como, it will be possible to have a walk among history, nature and curiosities.
A fascinating tour that will allow participants to physically traverse the history of the city by connecting two of its symbols: the Teatro Sociale and the Baradello Castle. A tour from castle to castle… since the Castle of the Round Tower once stood right where the theatre now stands.  The many historical connections between these two emblematic places will be highlighted, touching on some places of fundamental importance in Como’s history, and then moving on to the Spina Verde Park, an authentic green heart, a protected but almost urban park, a nature that is at times wild and yet so close and so inextricably linked to the city.

Once at the Tower, visitors will be able to watch the sun go down over the panorama of the city of Como, accompanied by the guitar-flute duo Davide Crenna and Alessandro Schiattone, in the company of Debussy, Farkas and Ravel, European composers who will contribute to making the sunset mood at the Baradello Tower unique and evocative. The sweetness of the flute and the intimacy of the guitar will accompany listeners on a voyage of discovery of 20th Century European sounds, making the evening atmosphere of the event particularly magical. Of particular relevance to this programme is French music, known for its abstract melodies and frequent themes with exotic and intangible colours. Postcards from Europe will complete the journey with Hungarian, Spanish and Italian composers.

BRING A BLANKET OR A PILLOW!

Free admission with booking required on the festival website for the walk.
In case of unfavourable weather, the event will be cancelled.

The Spina Verde Park intends to increasingly propose the Baradello Castle as a place of culture that is alive and accessible to citizens all year round. The castle hosts and will increasingly host exhibitions, musical evenings, theatre performances, poetry readings and lectures. The intention is to provide space for the most varied artistic and cultural forms, bringing this extraordinarily important place ever closer to the city and its inhabitants. The Castle is open, close and offers itself as a space open to creativity.
More generally, Spina Verde is not only the city’s green lung, but also a great space for events, initiatives to discover an area so rich in history and biodiversity that people fall in love with it.
The calendar of events and tours is available on the Spina Verde regional park website, a site that has been redesigned by separating the tourist content part from the administrative part of the park authority.
The openings, guided tours, payment and booking system are managed by Slow Lake Como, an effervescent tourist soul to whom the park has entrusted the management of activities at Baradello. Participating in the various initiatives of the mega calendar of activities is very easy, just go to the website and click on the calendar, or take advantage of the social pages (Facebook and Instagram) of the Spina Verde Park.

In a world in which distances are now nullified, the real adventure is to go deep inside, to discover the roots and peculiarities of a territory, to live with all the senses experiences that are out of the ordinary, accompanied by guides who are first and foremost narrators of places.
All this is Slow Lake Como.  A project born from the passion and enthusiasm of people united by their adherence to a slow philosophy of life and their love of Lake Como, aimed at enhancing its historical, cultural, gastronomic and environmental heritage.
Our activities, rich in content but simple in their communicative form, are aimed at locals and travellers who want to discover or rediscover Lake Como, its history, its gastronomic specialities and food products of excellence in an original way, through itineraries or themed events in which in-depth studies of the area and its history, including its most curious and mysterious aspects, tastings of local products, and the discovery of fascinating and forgotten places, are combined.
Our aim is to involve all the senses in your experience of travelling around Lake Como, and to allow you to enjoy the area in a global way, coming into direct contact with those who live and work there as artisans, farmers, valley dwellers, fishermen. We want to guide you to decipher Como, its Lake, its small villages and its paths, finding, with patience and love, its deep soul.
