Concert and Music

This concert will be dedicated to Gustav Mahler, starting with the Rückert-Lieder for voice and orchestra created by the composer between 1901 and 1902 on texts by the poet Friedrich Rückert, sung here by German baritone Christoph Pohl.

On stage at Teatro Sociale di Como Ying Li, on Friday 15 December. Twenty-five years old, Ying Li won the 2021 Antonio Mormone International Prize and the Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions.

The Gospel Concert is aimed at promoting donations to the Sant’Anna Fund, set up in favour of ASST Lariana at the Province Foundation for the Como Community.

On the occasion of an important anniversary, the Celtic Harp Orchestra and its founder, multi-instrumentalist and composer Fabius Constable present themselves in a completely new guise that perfectly describes the artistic evolution that has taken place over the past 20 years and the expressive power of the harp, a timeless main player with this orchestral formation. This is how The HARPbeat ORCHESTRA was born: all the beat of harps!

As part of CoMo - Como nel Mondo, each year the Teatro Sociale hosts an internationally recognised artist from the Como area. For this Season, the resident musical artist will be Mattia Petrilli, a famous flutist from Como and today First Flute of the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, who will perform a programme that traces the soloist's affective bond with his native Como, intertwining with the theme of the Night Season.

Gravity works on a dense and fragmented polyrhythm, similar to the formation of planets: a material that gradually saturates space to return as dust, a primordial cell, the beat of one's own heart. TOVEL presents an unprecedented live performance, a hypnotic, intense, and energetic musical journey.

ORA, from a poetic and scientific study, a direction and a visual art project by Imaginarium Studio, with the musical research of pianist Giorgio Martano, is a project for videomapping, piano and sound recordings, with music by Respighi, Puccini, Verdi, Rota, Castelnuovo - Tedesco, which addresses the themes of climate change, loss of environmental awareness and the harmonious and disharmonious relationship between Space and planet Earth.
