GENRE SUBSCRIPTIONS are non-refundable in the event of failure to use.

Purchasing two or more subscriptions entitles you to discounts on the price of each subscription: for 2 genres, the discount is 10%, for 3 genres, the discount is 20%, and for all genres, the discount is 30%.

Dynamic subscriptions

Out DYNAMIC SUBSCRIPTIONS are a formula promoted by the theatre, which allows the spectator to design their own itinerary, personally choosing within a single theatre season a cross-sectional combination of different shows. Depending on the combinations chosen (for 6, 9 or 12 titles of the playbill), various discounts from 10% up to 30% on the price of individual tickets will be applied. To each performance we have assigned a symbol of musical dynamics, from pianissimo to fortissimo, symbolically representing the colour palette of sounds.

UNDER30

For young theatregoers aged 18 to 30, the Theatre has created the Under30 Subscription, selecting 6 shows of different genres, each linked to evenings created ad hoc in collaboration with local juvenile associations. It is possible to buy the carnet in one shot, at a total cost of €60, with a complimentary YOUTH CARD (worth €10), otherwise in two €30 tranches (3 shows, October/January and February/April).

4×40 UNDER40

Initiative dedicated to UNDER40s: a 4-night pass reserved for only 40 people up to 40 years of age, again in collaboration with RIVO Gin! Like a small private club, four evenings to share, starting with the aperitif, then moving on to the show. All for a total of 100€, plus a free concert performance of your choice.

VARIATIONS

The theatre reserves the right to make programme changes and seat shifts made necessary by technical-artistic requirements or force majeure. In such cases, the Management undertakes to find suitable replacements and locations. Programme updates will be promptly announced on the website.

OUT OF PROGRAMME

No reductions or conventions are offered for the following performances.

REDUCTIONS

Senior citizens over 65 are entitled to a 10% discount.

For guests with disabilities of 67% or more, the Theatre provides a 50% reduction on the ticket price, on presentation of the disability certificate at the ticket office at the time of purchase. Disabled persons in wheelchairs are entitled to free admission. The accompanying person is entitled to a 20% reduction on the ticket price. For customised conventions and promotions, please contact the theatre’s group office.

It is possible that some performances do not offer reductions.

NEW YEAR’S EVE EXPERIENCE

Enjoy an exclusive evening to celebrate New Year’s Eve in a 19th-century theatre! With the NEW YEAR’S EVE EXPERIENCE package, at a cost of €180, you will be entitled to attend the ballet The Nutcracker from the best centre stalls seats, followed by a gala dinner in an exclusive location: the stage of the Teatro Sociale in Como.

Services included in the New Year’s Eve Experience:

• Hospitality in a private space with free cloakroom
• Admission to the ballet from the best central stalls seats
• New Year’s Eve gala dinner on the prestigious Sociale stage

Beginning at 6 pm. The availability of packages is limited. The detailed programme for the evening will be published as soon as possible.

Libiamo ne’ lieti calici. Theatre tour and aperitif

The tour lasts approximately 45-60 minutes, in Italian and English, and includes a guided tour inside the Foyer, the Sala Pasta, the Main Hall, the stage orders, galleries, and then the stage, dressing rooms, Sala Canonica, under-stage and Arena. Reservations are not necessary, you can go to the box office one hour before the start.
The cost of the visit alone is 5€ per person, while visit and aperitif at the “Ristorante InTeatro” is 10€ per person.
The visit complements the theatre’s activities (rehearsals, activities in the auditorium, etc.). There may, therefore, be variations in the route.

For organised groups, the theatre is available for guided tours upon reservation by writing to the Theatre Promotion Office.

The Teatro Sociale di Como is a theatre with stages called the Italian style. In fact, it has a ‘narrow’ horseshoe plan, i.e. tapering towards the proscenium: an extreme and rigorous evolution of the ancient Greek theatre.
The theatre has three floors of boxes and two galleries, the fourth and fifth floors, whose seats are divided into parapet and rank. While from the parapet seat (front row) the view is optimal, especially in the centre, from the rank seat visibility is reduced, as the row is behind the parapet seat.

Boxes are property of Società dei Palchettisti, as are the walls of the theatre itself; consequently, it is not possible to put the boxes up for sale immediately, as the owners have the right of first refusal up to one week before the date of the performance.
They are then released and put on sale; if a show sells out, a waiting list is created by the ticket office staff, who then call up the people on the list for that show once the boxes are put on sale.
The boxes range from 2 to 6 seats each, depending on the location of the stage. Should you purchase tickets in smaller numbers than the capacity of the stage, you may be seated in the same stage with other people. The seats within each stage are not numbered and each stage is furnished differently, with chairs, stools or benches to the owner’s liking.
