Thanks to Sheraton Lake Como Hotel Lambda Quintet, a brass quintet, takes spectators on a journey through cinema, starting with pieces by George Gershwin. They can’t take that away from me, taken from the film Shall we dance (1937) with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, received an Oscar nomination, while you may have heard Love is here to stay in the film The Goldwyn Follies (1937), on the set of which Gershwin died. Ain’t Misbehavin’ (1929) was composed for the musical Connie’s Hot Chocolates (1929) and then used in various movies, so much so that in 1984 it was awarded the Grammy Hall of Fame Award and included in the RIAA’s “Songs of the Century” list. To conclude with, an arrangement by Maestro Morricone mixing three different themes from Once Upon a Time in the West, and two themes from Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo.

In case of bad weather, the event will be held inside the Hotel.
Limited capacity, booking required on the festival website from 10 a.m. on the same day. Reservations expire 15 minutes
before the start of the concert.
