The Opera Season opens with La bohème by Puccini (26-28 September), with the staging by the creative team that won the call for under-35s to select a directing project, then entrusted to Maria Luisa Bafunno, while Maestro Riccardo Bisatti will conduct.
Following, Andrea Chénier (15-17 November) by Umberto Giordano entrusts the direction to Andrea Cigni and the conduction to M° Francesco Pasqualetti.
Rigoletto (28-30 November) will be the third title on the playbill, conducted by Alessandro D’Agostini and directed by Matteo Marziano Graziano, a young avant-garde opera director, known for his innovative and transformative artistic approach.
After Le nozze di Figaro on stage in Como and in the OperaLombardia Theatres during the 2015/16 Season, and Don Giovanni from the 2022/23 Season, Così fan tutte (13-15 December) closes the Mozart-Da Ponte triptych in Mario Martone’s memorable productions, conducted by Maestro Federico Maria Sardelli.
At last, I Capuleti e i Montecchi by Vincenzo Bellini (17-19 January 2025), with a new staging by Andrea De Rosa, conducted by Maestro Sebastiano Rolli, and starring Caterina Sala, winner of the AsLiCo competition.
