Liao Changyong is the most distinguished baritone in modern China, an internationally renowned opera performer and vocal music educator. He has dedicated himself to promoting the culture of Chinese art songs through their discovery, dissemination and promotion.
Hartmut Höll has become one of the most sought-after pianists for chamber music collaboration. With Changyong, he has curated a selection of Chinese-language art songs composed since 1920 under European influence, setting poems from a thousand-year-old tradition to music.
